Located just off Highway 54, only 38 km from Borgarnes, our property offers incredible views of the ocean, lava fields, mountains, and the striking Eldborg volcanic crater.

Enjoy a peaceful and quiet atmosphere in the heart of West Iceland, with Snæfellsjökull glacier visible in the distance. Our cabins and guesthouse are perfect for travellers looking to relax in nature, explore scenic hiking trails, or use us as a base for discovering nearby highlights like the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Dalir, and Borgarnes. Snorrastaðir is open year-round and welcomes guests from all over the world. Whether you're road-tripping, hiking, or just seeking tranquility, you'll find a warm and relaxing stay here.

For groups hiking Eldborg who are not staying overnight, we offer access to a fully equipped kitchen where guests can prepare and enjoy a meal together.

The kitchen seats up to 30 people and is ideal for group use. It is also available for larger groups staying in multiple cottages or booking several rooms at the guesthouse.

Advance booking is required and subject to availability.

Please note: The outdoor hot tubs are not included as part of the cottage rental during the winter season. Due to weather conditions, the water temperature can be lower than usual and cannot be guaranteed to be comfortably warm.

However, if guests find the temperature suitable, they are very welcome to use the hot tubs at their own discretion.
