All of the above is computed from Iceland Camping Equipment - Outdoor Clothing & Gear Rental's own 23 product records, not from a questionnaire. Fleet size and typical group sizes are the figures a comparison table usually shows; Bókun does not carry them, so we would be guessing, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it in.
From the operator's own Bókun vendor record. The year is when the company's registration number was issued, which is the closest thing to a founding date that can be checked at skatturinn.is; the brand may be older or younger than the company. Their own site: iceland-camping-equipment.com — same price there as here.

Great! The service was excellent, the flexibility was impressive, and the loyalty was evident. The convenience of the pickup and drop-off equipment was a huge plus. Everything was new, which was unexpected but very nice. You can grab unused gas from previous travellers.

We rented crampons for our trip in March and they were definitely needed and a total life saver on many of our hikes. Service and communication with the company was excellent! We used their 24/7 pick up and drop off service on our arrival and departure and it was super easy and convenient, as they sent us all the necessary information needed for the process. Would definitely use their services on the next trip to Iceland and HIGHLY recommended to anyone searching for camping equipment rental companies. Thank you very much for your service!

Easy and convenient! Rented hiking boot on feb 2026. It was comfy and durable. Would rent again.

All equipment we rented was in very good condition. Sleeping pads from Vango were very comfy and with decent insulation. At night, when temperature was -5°C in sleeping bag (cobra 600) was comfy, but for people who like it warm, this temperature is a limit. We used kitchen equipment several times a day and it worked out well. Big + for the non-stick pan.
