Laugarás Lagoon runs lagoons & spas in Golden Circle, starting from Laugarás. We book them directly, so what you see here is their own availability and their own cancellation policy — at the same price you'd pay them.
“Laugarás Lagoon is a geothermal retreat in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle, just minutes from Geysir and Gullfoss. Overlooking the Hvítá River, the two-level lagoon combines warm geothermal waters, nature and thoughtful design, with two saunas and a cold plunge. Complete the experience at Ylja Restaurant, led by renowned Icelandic chef Gísli Matt, where seasonal dishes celebrate local Icelandic ingredients.”

All of the above is computed from Laugarás Lagoon's own 3 product records, not from a questionnaire. Fleet size and typical group sizes are the figures a comparison table usually shows; Bókun does not carry them, so we would be guessing, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it in.

From the operator's own Bókun vendor record. The year is when the company's registration number was issued, which is the closest thing to a founding date that can be checked at skatturinn.is; the brand may be older or younger than the company. Their own site: laugaraslagoon.is — same price there as here.

Unbelievable place. Cheaper than the other major lagoons. What I liked about this place was that it was tucked away in the golden circle. It was not over crowded. And the facilities were lush. The Lagoon itself was so nice. Loved the drinks and I loved the sauna and Steam rooms. The restaurant was a major hit and very generous portions.

Beautiful lagoon with lovely views. Changing facilities were clean, with options for private showering if so desired and nice shower gel etc. Lagoon felt spacious, not too busy - I loved the varied heat within it. Waterfall was a really nice touch, as were the tables and benches to enjoy your bar drinks at (though be careful of your shins as you move around 🤣). Nice jacuzzi and cold plunge, but thought the sauna could have done what being warmer. The 'quiet/private' area wasn't that quiet or private when we were there, but still nice. It was a nice way to break up our golden circle tour - v relaxing!

I loved Laugaras Lagoon, especially after having been to the Blue Lagoon on a previous trip to Iceland. It was so peaceful and uncrowded and totally relaxing. I loved the way it blended into the setting, and it was nice to see trees around it! One of the employees at the check-in desk explained that his family has been there for generations and is responsible for having planted a large number of the trees in the area. The water temperature was perfect and I especially enjoyed the quiet area. We had a 5:00 entry, and then 6:30 dinner reservation which was just right. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend this if you have time to go somewhere further from the airport area.

Nestled in the southern part of the country, this natural gem combines warm, soothing waters with breathtaking surroundings. 🙂👍
After soaking in the lagoon’s inviting warmth, the perfect way to end the day is with a delicious Icelandic meal at the lagoon’s Ylja restaurant ... that was just superb, bursting with flavors & ingenuity!
