OMG. Best horse tour ever!! I had so much fun with my partner and Josie on our tour. It was beyond what I imagined, so much fun and adventure. We got to go off the dirt paths and into the rocks and hills of Iceland. It was awesome getting to tölt! I love horses, and the only thing I love more is birds. So it was incredible that our guide knew so much about the birds during our tour, too! I loved learning about the ecology and geology of Lake Myvatin. Couldn't have asked for a better tour or tour guide. Such a personalized experience! I'd say it was money well spent, worth it for the once in a lifetime experience.

Our best riding tour in Iceland We loved our 1-hour tour around Lake Mývatn and the pseudocraters with Josie! It’s a wonderful family-run farm, and they gave us great safety instructions before we set off. You can really tell how much they care about their horses. Horses rides maximum two hours a day for two weeks, and then get a full week off in the pastures to rest. Plus vacation all winter as well. It was beautiful, friendly, and very ethical. Highly recommended! ⭐️

This tour was a great experience! My partner and I did the two hour tour with Josie. She did an excellent job of pairing us with horses that fit our experience. The ride was so beyond what I expected it to be. We walked and tolted through the countryside, saw many birds, and learned about the lava formations. I would book again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience! We booked a private tour as we are experienced riders and absolutely loved it. After a kind welcome we were able to experience the beautiful landscape on horseback while learning so much interesting information about the area. They matched the horses very well for our personality. Would absolutely recommend for experienced riders in small groups to book the ride!!

No. We sell Safarihestar slf's tours at the price they set, through their own booking system, so the seat costs the same here as on their site. What you get here in addition is one checkout for every tour in your trip, whoever runs it, and one place to turn if plans change.

Does Safarihestar slf pick up from hotels?

None of the 5 Safarihestar slf tours we sell includes a hotel pickup. Each tour page gives the meeting point — they start from Mývatn.

Where do Safarihestar slf tours start?

Their departures we sell start from Mývatn. Check the map on each tour page for the exact meeting point.

Not sure which of these fits your dates? The planner checks real departures and builds the day around them.
