What moves the price
Which lagoon. Admission-only tickets are the floor; the Blue Lagoon costs more than the Secret Lagoon or Krauma, and transfers from Reykjavík add to all of them.
What the hotel pickup costs you
We can put a number on this rather than guess. Across 66 lagoon & spa visits , the ones you drive to yourself have a middle price of €161, and the ones that collect you from your hotel have a middle price of €195 — 21% more.
The gap is small here, so pickup is usually worth taking. Private and charter tours are left out of this comparison, because their price reflects exclusivity rather than transport.

If a lagoon or spa visit is the thing you came to Iceland for, pay the middle price rather than the floor — the difference usually buys a smaller group and a guide with time for you. If it's a nice-to-have on a day you're already busy, the cheapest option does the job. Either way, book it for a day early in your trip: if weather cancels it, you'll have another day to try again. Most of these run in Golden Circle, Reykjanes & Blue Lagoon, Reykjavík, Vatnajökull & Jökulsárlón.
Lagoons & spas prices: questions people ask
How much does a lagoon or spa visit cost in Iceland?+
We sell 91 lagoon & spa visits from 36 Icelandic operators. The cheapest is €44 per person, the typical price is €205, and the top end is €2,364. Which lagoon. Admission-only tickets are the floor; the Blue Lagoon costs more than the Secret Lagoon or Krauma, and transfers from Reykjavík add to all of them.
Is there a booking fee?+
No. You pay the operator's own price and we take a commission out of it, so booking here costs the same as booking direct — with one checkout if you book several tours.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?+
On most of these, yes: cancel more than 24 hours before and you get the full amount back. The exact rule belongs to the operator and is shown on each tour page before you pay.
Is the Blue Lagoon worth it or is it too touristy?+
It is busy and it is worth it, once. The water is milky blue from silica, the setting in the Reykjanes lava is unlike anywhere else, and it sits twenty minutes from Keflavík Airport, so it fits an arrival or departure day. Book a time slot in advance; it sells out. If crowds bother you, go early morning or after 20:00. The Secret Lagoon or Fontana on the Golden Circle are calmer and cheaper alternatives.
Can I do the Blue Lagoon on the way to or from the airport?+
Yes, and it is the best way to use it. Transfers like IceTransfer's Keflavík to Blue Lagoon to Reykjavík (/experience/1036423/) or the reverse (/experience/1036419/) stop at the lagoon for a few hours with your luggage stored. Allow at least three hours at the lagoon and check that your slot lines up with your flight. Note that the Reykjanes eruptions have closed the lagoon at short notice; check its status before travelling.
