Shared or private, and direction. A shared airport coach is the floor. A private car to your hotel costs several times that but waits for your flight.

If an airport transfer is the thing you came to Iceland for, pay the middle price rather than the floor — the difference usually buys a smaller group and a guide with time for you. If it's a nice-to-have on a day you're already busy, the cheapest option does the job. Either way, book it for a day early in your trip: if weather cancels it, you'll have another day to try again. Most of these run in Reykjavík, South Coast, Highlands, Reykjanes & Blue Lagoon.
Airport transfers prices: questions people ask
How much does an airport transfer cost in Iceland?+
We sell 34 airport transfers from 16 Icelandic operators. The cheapest is €18 per person, the typical price is €185, and the top end is €2,766. Shared or private, and direction. A shared airport coach is the floor. A private car to your hotel costs several times that but waits for your flight.
Is there a booking fee?+
No. You pay the operator's own price and we take a commission out of it, so booking here costs the same as booking direct — with one checkout if you book several tours.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?+
On most of these, yes: cancel more than 24 hours before and you get the full amount back. The exact rule belongs to the operator and is shown on each tour page before you pay.
How do I get from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík?+
It is about 50 kilometres and 45 minutes by road; there is no train. Scheduled airport coaches run to the BSÍ terminal after every arrival and are the cheapest option. Private transfers (/experience/942190/, /experience/1193487/) meet you at the door and drop you at your hotel, worth it for families or late arrivals. Taxis are expensive. If you are stopping at the Blue Lagoon, book a transfer that includes it (/experience/1036423/).
How early should I be at Keflavík Airport for my flight?+
Two and a half hours before a European flight and three before North America; the airport is small and queues bunch around the morning and afternoon departure waves. From central Reykjavík allow 45 to 60 minutes' driving plus a buffer in winter weather. That means leaving your hotel three and a half to four hours before departure. Coaches and transfers work backwards from your flight time when you book.
