Tour Overview: The Ultimate Golden Circle and South Coast Tour Iceland

Pressed for time but don’t want to miss a thing? This exclusive Golden Circle and South Coast Tour Iceland is designed to show you Iceland’s greatest hits in a single, action-packed day. From thundering waterfalls and erupting geysers to sweeping black sand beaches and towering cliffs, you’ll experience Iceland’s raw beauty with the ease of a private guide and vehicle. It’s the perfect adventure for travelers who want to see more, comfortably and efficiently.

Itinerary: Iconic Sights You’ll Never Forget.

🔹 Þingvellir National Park:
Kick off your day at Þingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates visibly drift apart. This stunning rift valley isn’t just a geological wonder — it’s also where Iceland’s ancient parliament once met, making it a fascinating blend of nature and history.
Category: National Park 🏞️ | Duration: 60–90 min ⏱️ | Activity: Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round

🔹 Geysir Geothermal Area:
Next, feel the Earth’s energy at the legendary Geysir area. Watch Strokkur erupt every few minutes, shooting boiling water high into the sky. Have your camera ready for this spectacular natural show.
Category: Geothermal Area ♨️ | Duration: 30–60 min ⏱️ | Activity: Very Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round

🔹 Gullfoss Waterfall:
One of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, Gullfoss (“Golden Falls”) will leave you speechless. Its powerful, two-tiered cascade thunders into a rugged canyon, often creating a beautiful rainbow on sunny days.
Category: Waterfall 🏞️ | Duration: 30–60 min ⏱️ | Activity: Very Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round

South Coast Highlights:

🔹 Seljalandsfoss Waterfall:
Get ready to walk behind a waterfall. Seljalandsfoss is unique because a trail takes you right around the back of the falling water — an unforgettable experience. Don’t forget a rain jacket.
Category: Waterfall 🏞️ | Duration: 30–60 min ⏱️ | Activity: Very Easy 🥾 | Season: Summer (path often closed in winter)

🔹 Gljúfrabúi Waterfall:
Nearby, discover the hidden gem Gljúfrabúi, also called the “Canyon Dweller.” Tucked behind a cliff, this magical 40-meter waterfall requires you to wade into a narrow gorge for an up-close view — it’s a secret adventure you won’t want to miss. Waterproof shoes are a must.
Category: Hidden Waterfall 🏞️ | Duration: 20–30 min ⏱️ | Activity: Easy 🥾 | Season: Summer (limited or closed in winter)

🔹 Skógafoss:
Skógafoss is a mighty 60-meter waterfall and one of Iceland’s most iconic sights. Feel the spray and watch for rainbows as tons of water crash down right in front of you — it’s pure power and beauty.
Category: Waterfall 🏞️ | Duration: 30–60 min ⏱️ | Activity: Very Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round

🔹 Kvernufoss:
A hidden treasure near Skógafoss, Kvernufoss is a peaceful waterfall tucked in a scenic gorge. Take a short, easy walk and step behind the curtain of water for incredible photos. In winter, the trail can be icy — crampons are recommended.
Category: Waterfall 🏞️ | Duration: 45–60 min ⏱️ | Activity: Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round (path behind falls best in summer)

🔹 Sólheimajökull Glacier:
No South Coast adventure is complete without a glacier experience. Walk on the dramatic ice tongue of Sólheimajökull with a certified guide, crampons, and safety gear. Marvel at blue ice, deep crevasses, and volcanic ash layers while learning about Iceland’s changing glaciers. For safety, glacier hikes are only done with a professional guide.
Category: Glacier Hike 🧊🏔️ | Duration: 2.5–4 hrs ⏱️ | Activity: Easy–Moderate 🥾 | Season: Year-round

🔹 Dyrhólaey Peninsula:
Soak in panoramic views at Dyrhólaey, famous for its dramatic sea arch and cliffs. Spot puffins during nesting season (May–August) and admire the historic lighthouse with sweeping vistas of black beaches and distant glaciers.
Category: Scenic Viewpoint 🏞️🦅 | Duration: 45–75 min ⏱️ | Activity: Very Easy–Easy 🥾 | Season: Year-round (summer for puffins)

🔹 Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach:
End your day at Reynisfjara, Iceland’s iconic black sand beach. Take in the striking basalt columns, roaring Atlantic waves, and dramatic scenery. This spot is stunning but stay safe — the waves are powerful.

I had an excellent experience with Transfer Suite. The taxi arrived exactly on time in the morning, and the entire journey was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. The driver was professional, friendly, and very respectful, which made the trip even more enjoyable. I truly appreciate the company’s reliability, punctuality, and high standard of customer service. Everything was handled perfectly from start to finish. I highly recommend Transfer Suite to anyone looking for a dependable and professional transportation service, and I will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you, Transfer Suite, for the outstanding service!

We booked an airport transfer with sight seeing with IceTransfer for party of 5 with loads of luggage. Hasan Al Haj came to KEF to pick us up. We took a long time because of our party. No issues at all! Hasan did a fabulous job with the sight seeing part. He observed our interest and actually made additional stop at a point of interest on the way. We arrived at our destination 5 minutes ahead of schedule. The guy timed everything to the T. If you come to Reykjavik to visit with a big group, IceTransfer is the way to go. Bravo to Hasan!

This company is one of the most honest service providers I have encountered in a long time. Due to a sudden illness in my party, I had to cancel a scheduled and paid for roundtrip transfer from the cruise port in Reykjavik to the Blue Lagoon and back. I called early in the morning the day before the service and had to cancel. The owner (I believe) answered his cell phone and promised to refund our money without having my reservation handy. He did as he promised and I received a refund. I would hire this company for any service they offer, I thank them for their integrity and hope whoever reads this review will proudly hire them. Thank You Iceland Airport Transfer & Taxi, and custom transportation service.

We used Ihab for 2 trips today. He picked us up from the airport and transported us to the Retreat at Blue Lagoon. He was prompt, courteous and of course a good driver. As he left a great impression, we also used him to transport us to our hotel in Reykjavik the same day. We arranged when he dropped us off at Blue Lagoon and was equally prompt on the next excursion. Have complete comfort in him and plan to use him when we return
